His father not only trained him but stated his own company to sponsor his son they not only won Rookie of the Year Awards but won World Championship in the minors called Busch Series Nascar.
Dale Jr. then went to the Majors called Winston Cup now called Sprint Cup Nascar Rookie of the Year again and then started winning races he made a promise to his father that he would do what ever it took to win a World Championship like his father and his father would be the Car Owner wow father son what a story!
Then his father died in a car crash watching his son go across the finish line in the 2001 Daytona 500 the Super Bowl in Racing!
The company that he started Dale Earnhart, Inc. was past to his wife Dale Jr. step mother and the company started changing allot the cars had problems lost it winning focus and Dale Jr. not even in the top 10 in points any more!
He made a promise to his father he went to his step mother and said let me buy you out she said "NO".
What did Dale Jr. do he left his father's company he had to change his sponsor, his number in his car, where he lived, everything and as he says he changed his future what happened he won the very first race this year and is now on track again he is excited, passionate, and is refocused in what he wanted at the beginning the WIN a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!
